Bosses at Fylde Council have reportedly refused to cremate the body of Moors Murderer Ian Brady.

Last week, a High Court judge instructed a council officer from Tameside, Greater Manchester, to arrange his cremation. The Sun claims Lytham Crematorium was asked to carry it out and scatter his ashes in the sea.

No one from Fylde Council has been able to confirm they've been asked.

A High Court judge has ruled Ian Brady's body must be disposed of with 'no music and no ceremony'.

The remains of the Moors murderer are still being stored, following his death in May.

Along with Myra Hindley, the serial killer tortured and murdered five children in the 1960s.

Four of the victims were buried on Saddleworth Moor in the south Pennines.
