Nurturing Nature is the title of the latest exhibition at WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre over the next month.

The exhibition, by Ann Maria Rimmer, features framed 3d relief sculptures. Ann Maria says: “I consider myself very lucky to have found my passion for art again after so many years. I truly believe that I would have reached this level of sculpting much sooner had I chosen to do an art degree. Teaching myself these skills has been both frustrating and rewarding. The challenge to take a piece of muddy clay and turn it into something that did not exist before is still amazing to me.”

Ann has been involved in various exhibitions around Lancashire and her work is offering something a bit different to see at Martin Mere.

The exhibition can be viewed until 15 July and will be located in the exhibition hall and all art work will be available to purchase with a percentage going towards the valuable work that Martin Mere does.

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 9.30am to 6pm in the summer months and parking is free of charge. Situated off the A59, it is signposted from the M61, M58 and M6. The Centre is also accessible via the Southport to Manchester and the Liverpool to Preston line by train from Burscough Rail Stations.
