Climber falls 300ft down Grasmoor in Lake District
A Merseyside climber who fell about 300ft down Grasmoor in the Lake District is lucky to be alive.
Cockermouth Mountain Rescue team were called out at aproximately 4:00pm yesterday afternoon (Saturday) after the man fell down Grasmoor, near Buttermere.
The 56-year-old man was found hanging on to heather near a 100ft drop, and had to be winched to safety and airlifted to hospital. (Picture courtesy of the Lake District Guides.co.uk)
